what's up guys, I'm here with a new background painting, like i said before as a background artist, its my job to always, bend to any style, the client wants, and here's another background i did for a short animation i worked on with a good animator friend of mine called lashe.t https://www.instagram.com/lashe.t/ here's Instagram link you can check him out, great guy,
for many of us whos seen black dynamite, we know there's a lot of curved dynamic perspective in the background of the animation, so for the first step i was given a storyboard sketch with a dynamic curved perspective to it, and i had to do a little clean up of my own and them i did my own perspective over it with the right correct angles,
and then i did the ink clean up, finalizing the shapes of the objects and items in the room, and added the dark shades, to show the room is dimly lit,
from there i moved to the flat coloring, and also
and then
I added a little bit of painting strokes , just to give this subtle painterly feel to it.
and then i added a little bit of night light through the window to show the moon's presence
and then finally added this red atmospheric light to the scene, to give it this dull, moody feeling .
