Hello there good people of hive.
Recently I saw a nice photo of the mount Kilimanjaro, which is the tallest mountain in Africa and can be found in Tanzania, and its so lovely.
I just love the way the dark green areas on the mountain blended well with the icy top area of the mountain, and i thought it would be a great way to study different kinds of mountains, cause due to the nature of my field in digital arts which is backgrounds and concept art , I need to be able to create so many types of environments.
here's the process:
so with my lasso tool , i shaped out mount Kilimanjaro and adding a light flat color, for my base cause may areas of the reference: as this light blueish shade of color to it
i used, was light and add a little bit of the sky color overlaid on it
then i moved on to adding the main colors that's blended together on the mountain,
then i added the snowy top area,
and then i went on to bring out the detailing, around the areas of the mountaimn so, sperating the shadow from the lioght
when i was don e with the mountain area i got to work on the foregrounds, and i saw from all the references i Got from the browsing about the mountain area there's contrast in the environment, and that's a coloring scheme i know i love
i decided to change the way i placed my trees in the foreground, instead of having the greenery cover the base of the mountain i arranged it in a way that the base of the mountain could still be seen
so after with the trees i added surrounding elements like rocks and little grounsd planes poking out from the grass
so then i later moved the tree, just to make it stand out on its own , but still with the mountain being the vocal point
thanks so much for stopping by, stay safe, and ill see in the next one.
