Hello once again, how are you all doing,
so late last year, i worked on some concept design for a game developer, who wanted to create a endless runner game, but in the local Nigerian style, so well as an expert in that i gave him design options of how the surrounding buildings should look like.
Here's some few tips to Nigerian environment:
first off we use a lot of sliding glass
, here in nigeria, thats the current norm for all types of building now, in the older days we were into,
louvres designed windows: as you can see in the image below,
we have layers of glass, stacked on top of each other, any house you see this design in now?, that means that house is quite old, cause louvres glass, aren't really easy to maintain and they can easily break if you're careful in closing them,
Next tip is add electricity poles,
i basically thing that's our signature look, although we have other countries in other continent that use electricity poles but , we use them more than most countries in the world, and now a days electricity pole in Nigeria have been getting upgrades like turning them into concrete poles or metal poles.
lastly , add small tiny container shop around , and they can come in different sizes, either big or small
so now you know a little bit on how i create environments for my backgrounds, you don't know it might come in handy for you some day, so with all that said
here's the process:
so that will be all for now,
THANKS SO MUCH FOR STOPPING BY,
and ill see you in the next one, cheers.
